Pavana lake is a man-made lake which came into existence after the construction of Pavana Dam. The Lohgad, Tikona and Tunga forts are visible from the lake which makes the whole scene more picturesque.
Pavana dam was constructed in 1972. The source of water for this earth fill gravity dam is western ghats.
